Our Foundation
All Things Coalition exists because God called ordinary people to respond to extraordinary need.
The organization was not born from a strategic plan or a desire to create another nonprofit. It was born from heartbreak.
In January 2023, Hamblen County experienced the devastating loss of eight individuals to drug overdose in a single day. Faced with unimaginable grief, the question was never, “Who should fix this?” The question became:
“What can we do?”
That question changed everything.
Rather than immediately creating a new organization, the founders first sought to partner with an existing harm reduction program serving another Tennessee community. Their hope was to extend proven, lifesaving services into Hamblen County. When they learned that expansion was not financially possible, they turned to prayer.
Through prayer and discernment, God redirected that burden into a calling.
During a personal devotional, Founder and Executive Director Shavone Lyons reflected on Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” From that moment came the name All Things Coalition. The name is more than a title. It is a declaration that Christ is the source of the organization’s strength and that lasting change happens when people, churches, nonprofits, businesses, and communities unite to serve together.

At All Things Coalition, our mission is to uplift and unite our community by serving as a central hub that brings together nonprofits, businesses, and individuals. We are dedicated to empowering those navigating addiction and related challenges, while also fostering financial literacy, homeownership, resilience, and mental health. Through collaborative partnerships, faith-based guidance, and accessible resources, we strive to create a strong, interconnected community where every person can thrive and find the support they need to achieve lasting change and personal growth.
